Now rename the extracted directory to maven and set the permission as mentioned below. # cd /opt/Įxtract downloaded archive once the downloading is completed. First, change the working directory to /opt/ directory and download the latest stable version of Apache Maven from. # echo "JAVA_HOME=$(readlink -f /usr/bin/java | sed "s:bin/java::")" | sudo tee -a /etc/profile Setup the JAVA_HOME environment variable with the below commands. Run the below command to check the version once the installation is completed.
